College Fest

1985-Present (Annually)

Nationally recognized marketing event that targets the college market and includes promotions by over 150 national advertisers, live entertainment, celebrities, and fashion shows. Attracting over 25,000 college students, College Fest offers a unique branding forum for advertisers wishing to conduct market research, product sampling, and sales promotions alike. Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair

Annual three-day antiquarian book exhibit show, sponsored by the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA), which features over 150 antiquarian booksellers from all over the world. New England Antiquarian Print Fair

1999-Present (Annually)

Annual three-day print exhibit show developed by Commonwealth Promotion which features museum-quality prints from the Renaissance to the 1950’s for sale and is produced in conjunction with the Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair. For more info visit: www.newenglandprintfair.com.


College Fest Careers

1999 – 2001 Semi-Annually

A general career fair targeted to Boston-area college seniors and graduate students held at the Park Plaza Castle. Commonwealth Promotion created and produced this event with title sponsorship by The Boston Globe.


The Tour de Sol—The Great American Green Transportation Festival

May 21-26, 2001

A six-city New England road rally presented by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, a membership organization dedicated to educating the public about sustainable energy. Commonwealth Promotion managed all event logistics and promotion, festivals in each city, which featured exhibits, live entertainment, education tours, and vehicle display to educate the public about global warming and climate change. The event was sponsored by the Honda Insight.


Festival of Women’s Cinema, The Brattle Theatre

April, 2000 and 2001

Sponsorship sales for four-day Festival dedicated to independent films for, by, and about women. The Festival has received two "Best Festival" awards from the Boston Society of Film Critics. Past sponsors include Jane Magazine, Turner Classic Movies, Hyundai, and Bread and Circus.


HMS Pinafore at the USS Constitution

June 30 – July 2, 2000

A first time collaboration between Boston Academy of Music, the National Park Service, and the US Navy to produce Gilbert and Sullivan’s opera HMS Pinafore on the USS Constitution in the Charlestown Navy Yard. Commonwealth Promotion, Inc. managed sponsorship development for the event.


Moses – A Gospel Concert

March 2000

Original Gospel Opera created by local composer Walther Robinson, "Moses" tells the story of the Hebrew Exodus from Israel through original works that draw upon gospel, jazz/blues, and hip-hop genres. The concert featured over 200 performers, including narrators who set the stage for each song, gospel choirs, jazz vocalists, dancers, rappers, and 100-voice children’s choir. Commonwealth Promotion oversaw sponsorship development and media relations.


The Great Skate II and III

October 1997 and October 1995

Event management for a community outreach and fundraising event for Lawrence General Hospital. Services included arranging media partnership with the Lawrence Eagle Tribune, coordination of local skating talent, advertising and promotion, and all on-site production.


Hebrew Rehabilitation Center for Aged Annual Meeting

May 1991 and May 1993

Event management and logistics for annual meetings held at the development site of their Orchard Cove Continuing Care Retirement Community. Services included developing a project plan for clearing the site, all logistical and technical support for the outdoor event including rear-screen video projection presentation, transportation, and on-site management of all vendors. In addition, Commonwealth Promotion, Inc. also managed the logistics, and promotions for the HRCA’s 90th Anniversary Gala at One Financial Center, Boston.


Fenway Community Health Center

March 1991

Media relations and event management for the opening of a $4 million health-care facility built for the treatment and research of HIV-related illnesses. Ribbon-cutting ceremonies included speakers Cleve Jones, founder of the AIDS Memorial Quilt; Mayor Ray Flynn; and Congressman Joe Kennedy.


New England Earth Day

April 1990

Corporate sponsorship development and media strategy implementation for a 20th Anniversary Earth Day celebration on the Esplanade in Boston. In addition, Commonwealth Promotion, Inc. handled talent coordination, event production support, and supervision for all VIP arrangements for an outdoor concert on the Esplanade, which drew an audience of 200,000 people.
